As a writer I have mainly worked in theatre and radio. My first radio play ‘Paris, Nana & Me’ was shortlisted for the Imison Award. I am also interested in writing for other media and in 2016 became BBC Birmingham’s first writer-in-residence, working across Doctors, The Archers and Home Front whilst writer-on-attachment at Birmingham REP. In 2022 I started writing for a series of VR films around domestic violence.
Other recent writing projects include: two new audio pieces as part of Humans Not Heroes created with front-line NHS workers, Hungry Nation a show created with people with experience of food poverty in Coventry, a new afternoon drama for Radio 4 and episodes for the award-winning BBC series Tracks.
